I have been leeching some avi's lately that have 5.1 sound. They call them HR-HDTV and they encoding by a group called CTU. Has anyone had any luck playing them on a Zensonic 300 or 330 without transcoding ? I unpacked the bitstream, resaved it in AVIMux and even direct stream copied it in vdub afterward just for the hell of it.
Is the only way to re-encode ?

HR-HDTV. That would be your problem right there. Resolution is too high (around 960 horizontal I think). Try downloading the regulsr HDTV re-encodes next time, they are half the size and don't require re-encoding.

celtic: but i want the 5.1 and it only comes with HR-HDTV .I have a home theatre system connected to my Zensonic.
Any suggestions on what to do with the video to make it compatible?
