Nominations are now open for the 2005 PHORUM AWARDS. Nomination categories are attached as a word document (bottom of this post).
Nominations will close at 5PM, MONDAY 12th SEPTEMBER.
Send your nominations to Lizard Drinkin via Personal Message (http://phorums.com.au/private.php?do=newpm&u=15409). Could those of you who frequent areas outside General Chat please let others know that this thread is here? I suspect there are many who would otherwise miss it.
RULES:
One nomination per category please. Please put all your nominations in the one message.
These nomination categories are tongue-in-cheek, so please only nominate people who you KNOW will find it funny or even flattering to be nominated. Any nominations stemming from genuine nastiness will be disregarded. All nominees will be told who nominated them.
I will inform all nominees of their nomination before making a public posting to allow everyone the opportunity to decline in private. If any member is unhappy to be nominated for ANY category, they can reply to my Personal Message. I will remove your name from the list of nominees, no questions asked. You can also post all about eve (http://phorums.com.au/private.php?do=newpm&u=13206) or siliegrrl ( http://phorums.com.au/private.php?do=newpm&u=8837) if you would prefer, but for simplicity’s sake I’d appreciate everything coming in to the one place if possible.
*IMPORTANT* If we don’t hear back from nominees by the end of TUESDAY, 13th SEPTEMBER, we will assume you are happy with your nomination.
*EVEN MORE IMPORTANT* A nomination isn’t a vote. Voting will happen at the end of the nomination period, once all the nominations are in, confirmed and posted in a new thread for all to consider.
*PROBABLY NOT IMPORTANT* We’ll post samples of nominations for best avatar in an attachment when we start the “voting” thread next week – please base your votes upon these examples, which will be taken at the time the person was nominated.
*DEFINITELY NOT IMPORTANT* Salt is an effective remedy for blandness and effectively combats carpet stains except when burning.
