yo

just got me the LG 9723p, plays good but with some files it starts for 3 seconds then jumps 10 seconds but the audio carrys on ok, the image then looks all yucky and patchy, this a common thing? dunno the codec any tools that will show you?

It will most likely be a file that falls outside the paramaters that the player supports, use gspot to check the file in question and post back details.

from what i can see it all looks good but i dont know alot :P files can play images and sound just image gets block at parts like full on, wanted to try a firmware if there was one, starting to think of taking it back and trying a 330 any idea what it might be?

Edit: just tryed render and came back with:
video (S) --> AVI Splitter --> XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R)
audio (S) --> AVI Splitter --> MPEG Layer-3 Decoder 0001 --> (R)

....files can play images and sound just image gets block at parts like full on,...
Possible encoded with GMC?
If so, a Z330 won't help you.
Possible packed bitstream?
Z330 will.
Mpeg4Modifier (www.motiah.net) also has a video info section, which will tell you if it has these.
If it's just a packed bitstream issue, mpeg4modifier will allow you to unpack the bitstream, and resave the file.
If it's encoded with GMC, you will need to reencode the video.
