Actually Nod, the Opel six is heavier than the Holden V8.
The front springs on an Opel six are a thicker diameter.
Holden actually fitted reinforcements to the inner guard to strengthen
the front end and stop mud being thrown into the strut tower. ( I have
photos)
This modification has been done to Neil's Monza.
I sent this modification over to England for a guy we know and he told
me that these 2 pieces of tin plate when welded in stiffened the front
end up more than a strut brace.
Bob.
