Great concert - played the best of the new album and some of the big past
hits, but unfortunately didn't play "Breaking Up The Girl", "Androgyny" or
my personal favourite "The World Is Not Enough", or strangely enough, the
first single from the new album "Run Baby Run".

There was one point when they started a song and shortly into it, Shirley
stops singing and the band stops playing, and she explains that she was
thinking they were playing a different song to the one she was singing - it
was quite a funny moment and she made light of the stuff up. Then "to make
it up" to the audience she asked for a couple of requests and one hard-core
fan requested a B-side song to which she didn't know the lyrics so had to
get a stage hand to bring out the lyric book LOL. The initial "stuff up"
seemed a little contrived and my sister said the same, so if anyone goes/has
been to Garbage in other cities, did they do the same thing there?

No idea but apparently these Aussie shows are their last concerts before
they go on an 'indefinite hiatus'.

Shirley said this same thing during the gig. She seemed pretty peeved at the
music press for claiming that Garbage were breaking up, and said that they
definately weren't, but were going on a "very, very, very, very long
holiday". She then said to read that how you like. So your guess is as good
as mine.

I hope it's not permanent :-)
