Bout time you upgrade it into a real Ducati [not a Cagiva clone]

A MultiStrada, Monster, GT, Paul Smart or perhaps a rich man like you
needs a 996 SuperBike?

The pipe blows off the carby, 1st noticed it when oil appeared on carby, no
havent had any backfires, will check the valves . need to find some solvent
to clean the piston and head , any suggestions?

Just re read your note about PCV valves, yes there is 1 small flat plastic
washer , will try and find out how to test same

At the time the real Pantah engined Ducati, new 750 F1 was twice
the price and a bit impractical so I consider that I grabbed a
bargain at 5k. In 2000 (15 years later) the 996 was 29k and
996SPS was 39k RRP + dealer charges so really out of the farkin
question. Haven't got a current price list. Probably will look at
current one if I have constipation problems. Cagiva rescued
Ducati from extinction. I'd like to have a list of all the parts
and where they are made. I would imagine mine has more Italian
parts than the new ones.
