To early, thats 14th November, this is without doubt THE most important
auto award on the planet.

The final 7 are:

Alfa Romeo 159 [new 156]
BMW 3 Series
Citroen/Peugeot/Toyota "C1" Joint Venture
Mazda 5 [a van NOT the MX5]
Renault Clio 111
Toyota Yaris [Heading our way]
VW Passat

The mail is for the BMW but who knows?

CHEERS

Hardly "world" car of the year, I don't see any American cars on that list.
More like "european (with a few japs thrown in) car of a year"

Which American car do you think is good enough to be included in the world's
top 7? :-)

It'd be interesting if you could come up with an American car that
cmpares well with any of those vehicles.

GM already had the world class Corvette, white shits all over the GTO. The
GTO was just to give the dying Pontiac brand a boost.

Exactly!! I can guarantee you there are probably few, if any, Americans
deciding which cars make it to the list.

Corvette :-) LOL
Butt ugly! Almost as bad as the Aztec..
Maybe Holden should send them the Efijy, some thing with class..
At least we used the chassis and put a decent body on it.

World class?? Yanks? the two don't go together.
The Yanks are buying up all the "World Class" Car Manufactures, in a vain
attempt to improve their crap.

**Agreed. Ford started with a nice, reasonable sized, cheap car and turned
it into something else entirely. The '64 Mustang still looks drop dead
gorgeous today.

Ya cant help but agree with the man here!

But, still, I'd take a 289 `68 Stang at the right price.
