This week, 5th Gear, the UK motoring show which I think is aired in Oz,
had Vicki Butler-Henderson in a new M5 pitted against Tiff Needell in a
Williams F1 car. Vicki was caning the M5 but it looked like it was
going backwards compared to the Williams. She was lapped by Tiff within
a few laps, the F1 30 seconds faster around the track. We all knew Fl
cars were fast, but comparing the Williams to one of the fastest road
cars showed just how fast. Great stuff...

not surprising, given that the m5 is not suited to hard out track driving.

Just as driving an F1 car on the street would not be recommended under any
circumstances.
