Just got a call from a market research company looking for people for a
survey. If you're in your 30s, love cars, and can spend 2 hours in North
Sydney talking about it, there's $65 in it for you.

Usually it takes a half hour to get there and another back and you'd be
lucky to finish the test in 4 hours, so you've spent 5 hours for $65. If
you're in your 30s and working for that rate somethings wrong :-)

I did this last year but through spinning some extra bullshit I got $100
and it took an extra half hour (was actually held at Luna Park). Got to
see the '07 Falcon mock-up, and was asked to comment on comparing it to
the BA and the VZ (both with badging removed and windows blackened). I
described the car in this NG 9 months ago.......can't wait to see if my
memory proves reliable ; )

It's on the way home from work, and it ended up going for 90 minutes.
That works out to $43/hour in the hand, which to me is the equivalent of
about $80/hour if I had to pay tax on it. Just for talking about cars.
I don't know what you do, but $80/hour is good money to do something I do
anyway for free...

You didn't include the time you spent organising it etc although that's
still a pretty good deal. The one I did many years ago took a *lot* longer
than they said it would take and from someone I spoke to I was under the
impression this was common practice.
