Hi all,
any recommendations you have regarding a low line TV stand would be appreciated. I've looked at Freedom, and most of the furniture shops, but can't find anything I really like.
I want something at least 280cm long, as I have the space, and want to put some large speakers on it.
Any links/prices/ideas welcome!
Cheers,
Adam

Do you have something in paticular in mind? Glass, wood, frosted doors, silver etc.
I use to work in a furniture store and sold a lot of Everett Worthington furniture and never had any complaints. My mum and dad bought a low line stand for their widescreen plasma TV and it's very sturdy and looks nice. You can special order them in at most places like Harvey Norman or Retrovision and even bedding stores that sell furniture (like Capt'n Snooze or Bedshed as they sell the study desks and can order in other Everett Worthington products as they already have an account with them)

They glass ones can start getting expensive though if you need to put a lot of weight on them.
Last time I checked, the wood ones aren't real wood. They are MDF with laminate so they dint easily.

Hi siliegrrl,
thanx for the info! I'd probably stay away from glass, as I'm still using a VERY heavy CRT TV, which would probably fall straight thru' the glass!!
I'd prefer timber (NOT pine) but on another forum, someone recommended a place called York Furniture in Nunawading, which looks promising, as he can work around your own design.
A couple on the Everett site looked good, but not quite what I want in terms of where everything goes, as I want to put my centre speaker under the TV.
If you (or anyone else) wants more info about York, pls let me know. I will give them my design, and see what sorta price he comes up with.
Cheers,
Adam
