A mixed bag of questions to throw at you :-)
I'm looking to buy a high definition set top box at the end of the
week. The Teac DVB800/DVB820 gets a good wrap on
http://www.dtvforum.info and seem to be pretty good value for money at
$350.00. But I'd value your thoughts on other options (with DVI out).
Are all DVI cables created equal (or close to)? Would I see a huge
difference in picture quality between a $8 no-name cable (eBay) and a
$129 gold-plated Crest brand cable with ferrite chokes (Good Guys)?
Surely "digital is digital" ie "signal or no signal"?
Can anyone recommend an antenna installer/repairer in the Sydney area?
I know our old coax (and my home-brew splitter boxes... ahem) needs
replacing as we're getting lots of pops/clicks/drops while watching
through the existing SD STB. Also want a couple of new points
installed. However, I have neither the time, inclination or skill to
do it myself. And the idea of me getting on top of a two story terrace
leaves me a bit cold. ;-)
Thanks
