Hi all

We just had our TV delivered, Panasonic RPTV tx-47p800ha and i cannot get 1080i to work from the HTPC

I need to get this thing working with but I cant get anything above 480P EDTV from the geforce.

I am totally lost and would love to have 1080i from the HTPC

the 7800Gtx has just gone in.

TV is the Australian model - AMP is a Yamaha RXV 640

Other issue is when watching DIVX or TV I need to pan around the whole screen - ie I cannot see the whole movie as normal, unless I watch in 640 x 480

I have a normal CRT monitor hooked up to make changes and see whats going on at the same time

Please help

TV - PANASONIC TX-47P800HA WIDESCREEN REAR PROJECTION TELEVISION
VIDEO CARD - BFG 7800 GTX

I've got a Panasonic TX-47P800HA (CRT HD 1080i RPTV) connected to my Nvidia 7800GTx via component cables and am having a great deal of difficulty configuring the nvidia driver to output HD (specifically 1080i) in a way that the TV can display or the graphic card can remember across reboots.

I've been playing around with two areas in the Nvidia display driver control panel as follows:

1. TV Resolution
2. Screen Resolutions and Refresh Rates

The 'TV Resolution' tab lets me select a 'Signal Format' from 480p EDTV, 720p HDTV, 1080i HDTV, 480i SDTV, 576i HDTV, 576p EDTV and a bunch of PAL modes and automatically selects Component Output in the 'Video output format' section.

However the only selections that result in a valid display are 576i and 480i ... I get a rolling out of sync display (1080i - I assume the timings are just out of range for the TV to tune).

I've also played around with the Scan Mode (changing between Progressive and 100Hz) on my Panasonic TX-47P800HA but still get a rolling out of sync display when selecting 1080i from the 'TV Resolution' tab.
