Anyone know what the story is with this DVD? It's obviously not available
in Australia, but even in the US the DVD is becoming harder to find. Amazon
is one of the few sites that still list it, and they state:

"We regret that this DVD is under certain restrictions that prohibit sales
to customers who live outside the North American continent. If you do not
live in the United States or Canada, we will not be able to ship you this
DVD. Thank you for understanding. "

What kind of restrictions would prohibit a DVD from being sold outside of
the US?! I've never heard of that before.

Well I don't understand that at all as I imported it from Amazon to Sydney
Australia 3 months ago. Maybe the Americans think we have joined the Union!
After seeing the ABC spoof program CNNN where some genuine Americans were
interviewed about bombing Iraq and were shown a fake map of the World with
Australia re-labelled Iraq they all agreed it was a good idea... very funny
episode

I know they are having copyright problems with making the new Blade

Box Set?
It's a movie not a series, why a box set?

3 versions of the film, the 2 existing versions and a directors cut from
Ridley Scott.

Obviously you don't understand, and therefore Amazon's apology is
somewhat hollow.

:-)

It's a pity that they don't list these "certain restrictions". It's like
when a company or organisation doesn't allow certain things and cite
some abstract and vague comment like "due to safety reasons", when they
don't list those reasons. Government departments are notorious for this
- citing vague reasons but don't detail them.
