I had hoped to make a backup copy of "Being Julia" as it is heavily
used by the women in my family...but, the copy will only play with the
director's comments enabled, Special Features will not allow it to be
switched back to normal play.
Is this some sort of copy protection I am wondering?

You have "copied" the wrong audio track.

Yep, that's just what I did!

Ah...won't let me do that so I obviously de-selected the correct audio
track.
I have learned a lot...don't touch the audio tracks!...really
appreciate the help guys, thanks a lot...

Touch them, but obviously remove the right ones. No use having a French or
Spanish track taking up space when it wont be used.

Ah, so it ain't a backup copy at all. Buy the bloody thing if it is on such
high rotation in your household. Jesus.
