Hi,

taken from aus.tv.pay:

On the front of the IQ (do not use remote)

Push 'select' and 'back' together

When all the lights on the STB light up push these buttons in
this order (don't hold them down) 'power', 'up button', 'down button',
'power'

Wait around 3 minutes until only a single red light is on the stb (an on
screen display during the upgrade can also be veiwed via s-video or
composite connections)

I'll have to look at my Austar unit. But, given that they taketh away,
I'm doubting that they'll giveth back.

I was told back in 2002 by Austar, when the channel management feature
was stolen off us, that the powers-that-be have decided that we don't
need this feature and that all the ranting and raving won't bring it
back.

I would've revolted by disconnecting the service, or really have made a
statement and sourced a "gold card" from somewhere. But, being a typical
aussie consumer, I becaome yet another victim of the BOHICA Effect...

Which was about the same time that Austar reorganised their lineup to
reflect requirements in a number of contracts...

You'd like to expand on this? ie: what are you talking about?

First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

Austar reorganised their channel lineup at the same time, some of their
contracts had requirements for channels to be on particular numbers
