Hey there, I finally got around to upgrading my interconnects to component,
but, as my amp (Denon AVR-2105) won't upconvert composite ---> component, i
invested in a scart to component cable to connect my foxtel digital
satellite box to my amp. Theres no model number or anything of the like on
my fox satellite box, but in the system info, it tells me the manufacturere
is UEC, and the hardware version is DSN700.2.2. (If you need any more info
regarding the box, let me know, and if possible, where to find it). Anyway,
I'm not getting any signal through to my TV (Toshiba 32SW8UA connected to
amp via component).

Signal passes through the amp perfectly from Toppy and Pioneer DVD player
(both also connected to amp via component). I also tried swapping the cables
used for Toppy connection, and the Toppy still worked fine, but still no joy
with the Foxtel signal. I tried pumping the signal directly into the
component input on my TV, bypassing the amp altogether, and no joy.

The component input has been assigned correctly to the Foxtel connection in
the menu, and i'm now running out of ideas. Anyone have a clue what i can do
?

OK just did what i should probably have done before i pissed about for 2
hours trying to correct this problem and called Foxtel. The box I have is
not compatible with SCART ---> component output, so they're going to replace
my box free of charge.
