Expensive Component Cables actaully work for me.

Yep i tried two different brands one cheap one expensive and the
expensive ones are better.

I would think that for the magority of people they would not make much
of a difference. But in my case enough of difference to switch to them
and go and buy another set for my DVD player :)

I know your saying NOOOO your lying and you probably think their is a
difference when their aint. Or trying to justify the price you paid
for them.

Well i actally got them for my new component DVD player. And they work
very very well for that. But then i decided to try them on MY HTPC.

The HTPC is connected to my HD 720p,1080I 86cm Widescreen TV.

I use that as my ET centre. Its got a HD tunercard installed as well.

Anways both the component cables are at the back of the pc so i can
unplug and replug them in for comparasion. Nice and quick.

The expensive cables picture is just sharper, brighter, clearer and more
defined.

iam using a TV HD 1080ti rip of a show called Bikini Destionations
Fantasy. It has lots of Nude chicks and close ups of tits and arse.
Great testing material :)

Anyways as soon as i tried the new cables i saw the difference. I
though the pictures were fantastic with the OLD cables but these are
even better.

What i can't figure out is why. I hear all this shit about the cables
being crap and a rip off. I suppose the price i paid in my thoughts i
would concider it a rip off. But from the best picture i can get with
my setup before i buy a SED tv. I cocider it money well spent.

I suppose if you have the high end TV and A HTPC with component out.
High quality cables actually do make a difference.

But with the normal Joe with SD or Rear Project or Plasma OR even LCD
its not worth it.

Any thoughts on this please reply.

/pS iam not telling you what brand either. And it aint the brand you
think iam talking about. Its a brand i have never heard about. But the
guy at the shop said they were high quality. And we allways believe
the sales guy. Well at a hi fi shop iam more inclined to anys. You
realy have to turn off your Shitametre when buying hifi stuff :)

Thanks.

This is total bullshit.

They only work better if you have used a magic green marker on the edge of your DVDs.

Very cheap video lead may have high capacitance and poor
impedance matching with input and output, this could under
some circumstances make for some blurring, but the same
leads may give perfect results with other gear.
Max.

So after all the hype, your going on with, perhaps, you might tell us, what
brand, model numbers, and price you paid for your posh interconnects.

Probable used "Monster" which tells us all we need to know..

The only advantage of using expensive interconnects such as Monster,
etc., is to the manufacturer. You are making the owners even richer.

Try a $5.00 interconnect from GoLo or The Warehouse.

This reminds me of the tosser-talk between hi-fi nuts. Get them to
identify the interconnects on a system when they don't know which is
attached to which purely by the audio output. And don't forget the
gold plating of the terminals.

The emperor has no clothes.

Those cheap plastic cables not do an audio system justice. I usually by
CONCORD brand cables from Jaycar,

Quality at an affordable price.

As For monster Cables. They are highly over rated and extremely over priced.

If i mention the brand than iam trying to sell them to you. Which i
dont want to do. I hate Infomercials. Iam an Anti Infomercial :)

Ill say it slices dices and takes th ecat out. but i won ttell you
what it is to scam you out of money.

Iam just saying decent cables work for a High End Tv and DVD. And a
HTPC. Enough for me to justify the purchase. i can see the difference.

iam not trying to sell you cables. Just let you know what i found as
one human being on this planet Earth. Is that so bad ?

Really not much point telling people you have found a product that works
well but then refuse to tell them what it is, is there?

What's the use of telling anyone how well or poorly something performs
it you aren't going to identify the item in question?

Cheers,
Nick.

Sunshine , your full of shit. And I doubt you would know what Hi-End
products where, or could afford them.

Why do you think people do "test reports" to allow other people to benefit,
from such reports..
And Spam, only applies when you advertise a non-existent product for
sale.

This is what the silly bitch posted on another newsgroup. tells us a lot
about her fancy cables, what a total waste of space,,

Alyssa wailed,,,

Not sure how to hook my audio up. I have a Steroo/DVD Combo system
with 5.1 Dolby and DTS. Works great.

But iam not sure what iam getting when i plug what cable into where.
At the moment i iam using a 2 plug RCA and iam pluging it to the
centre and left of the DVD player. Iam asuming i should use a 3 plug
and plug it into the centre, left and right ??

The sound system DVD/Stereo Combo i have only has two plugs for sound
and not 3. The are labled L and R. Possibly that means left and right

Also for some reason the pictures is larger at the top and bottom more
16/9 for some reason. Or is it just me. I know their is a zoom fuction
but i dont like it becuase it make it ugly. I was their was a
percentage zoom option like 10%/20% 30% 2X zooms it to much if i want
it to fit to the screen. Just enough zoom to make it fit the screen
without cutting to much off if you know what i mean.

That being the case, how do expect other people to benifit [sic] from your
experance, and just what is the point of your post.

But as your so confident that your using Hi-end interconnects, [very
doubtful, but still worth a mention] Why not post your findings on here,
with all the details of your cables, and then the Hi-end buff's can, tell
you why your confused, and wrong..
You might even like to offer a Web site link, or post a picture.
http://whogivesa.info/index.php
You can post in the Audio or Home Theatre sections.
