View Full Version : Monitor Settings Won't Change and other issues

I recently restored my computer and now I'm having a few problems. The first
and most annoying to me is the Screen Resolution for my montior. It won't
change. I go to the display and to settings. The only option is 640x480 16bit
color. This isn't my monitor so nothing fits right on it. It cuts screens off
and things take up the whole screen or most of it that should only take up a
small percantage of the screen. My screen should be 1024by768
Any help would be appreciated. I've had this problem before but for the
life of me I can't recall how I fixed it.
The other problems are my speekers & microphone aren't being read by the
computer. Neither is my ethernet card (which was with computer when i bought
it)
I don't know much about computers so I'm hoping somebody here can help me. I
went through the trouble shooting but nothing helped there.

Thanks so much.

Hi ... You need to install the driver for your graphic , This will allow you
to change your resolution , What kind of computer do you have ? Custom build
or brand name >> ( HP , Dell , or what ever )

Well you should have a disk that came with your computer for your graphic,
Have a look for the video/graphic driver , Also because you have a dell
computer you should set up a forum account with dell , here is the forum
website for dell below , just click your computer type and set up a account
, This would be the best place to get support for your computer
