What does everyone think the best place is to go for your P-Plates. By best, i mean easiest. What is the best time aswell.
i am leaning towards doing it at Silverwater
Also, has anyone got any tips. What is the hardest thing to do and what are the RTA strict on.
Thanks

If you're asking these questions, please don't drive. It is not a test for
fun, you realise.. Its an ability test. If you have to find "easy" places
and "best times" to pass, you've already failed. The sad part is it will
probably be someone else you smash round a tree and you live. Its always the
idiots that survive.
I was once told something by my driving instructor when I was going for my
P's test a few years back. She said "you are ready to go for your test, when
you feel you can drive any car, any place, without knowing the roads in
advance, or practising in the car before hand." I've always remembered that.
If you don't feel you could just jump into someone elses car and drive it
well, or if you always pick routes you know well, or know are easy, avoiding
"tricky" bits, you're not ready.
The hardest thing, is to drive properly. Theres enough people out there on
the road to swear at later, please don't be one of them..

Does that mean you think you might not pass because you aren't confident? In
what areas aren't confident? Will you try to fix anything you lose points for?

They are strict on everything. If you miss a single thing, you will be
marked down.
Heed lord-data's post. If you are not 100% confident in your abilities, you
will fail, as the instructor will pick things to fail you on. Don't waste
your money or time.

Took my daughter...
DOwn to Wisemans
Thru Galston Gorge
Up to Lithgow via Bells and back thru Great Western
Was told I was a prick for doing it.
SHe passed first go.
And she has driven some of the worst - She sweated in the Gorge! :-)
Make it as hard as possible!
My 9.72 cents worth!

Yeah, we forget, you see, that driving a car is *very* difficult to
learn.
That applies more so to those with nil background in driving stuff
about prior to getting on the road legally, probably because those not
having had a shot at tractors, go-karts, even rider mowers are not so
much deprived, but probably were not interested.
Which doesn't make for an easy time of it learning.
Natch, learning to drive needs to be something GovCo ensures all do,
and do well. That's because of the gianormous revenue those drivers
will net the state in years to come.
Somehow, that point escapes successive GovCo's.
Could it be that GovCo NEEDS piss-poor learning driving standards so
it can blame US for the death and destruction on the roads?
Like, not blaming themselves or their predesessors - you know, the
jerks with their pictures adorning the walls of all the parliaments,
for piss-poor performance WRT society's infrastructure?
'Course not - we're all imbeciles who go out there with the express
intention of killing ourselves and others. Every day.
It's all our fault - nothing to do with GovCo at all.
Right.
