The same frame. Because don't have a FRAME at all.
Cars stopped being built with a frame to save weight and costs.
Well, for most of the civilised world.

The "current" Passat and Audi A4/A6 share some componentry... the B5
Passat was effectively an "Audi A5", sitting between the A4 and A6.

The new Passat is entirely different, related more closely to the
Golf (5th generation i.e. "A5")
