They just don't have that big car look IMO so it will go the way of
the Avalon but unlike Toyota, MrBishi they don't have the money.

It will be a shame if it goes pear shaped.

I don't even think winning COTY would save it...

Spot on Fraser.

Noddy doesn't seem to think marketing exists for some odd reason :)

Oh no, I think it exists, and can be important. The point is how much
influence it has.

Take the 380 for example. Awarded Australia's best car late last year, yet
it isn't selling. The BA is another example of hype gone mad. Car of the
year, and a *much* better car to look at than the 380 at least, yet it's
only just holding it's own against the much older Commodore.

The Holden marketers are doing a far better job tiz why.
They're not pouring millions of dollars into its' racing programs because
there's space in the trophy cabinet.

Car of the year has in the past helped sales along. The VN overtook the EA
in sales only after the VN won (even though it probably only won because the
EA was worse, both cars were crap).

A win will help 380 sales, but maybe not enough to save Mitsubishi

Oh, yep I agree with that entirely, your last sentence I fear is
highly likely.
