I actually saw them being installed on the way out to Geelong the other
day. And forgot the 'ironic' thing I noticed then, but was reminded by
them being on the news tonight.
The irony? Well going toward (or was it back from) Geelong, you pass
through the speed camera zone, and then 1-2 bridges later is the speedo
check site. Great aint it? If your speedo is out, you'd get caught at
least once. whereas if the speed checker with big display was first
you'd know and would have no excuse (and the fine would be relatively
fair). But oh, no, we don't want to catch just the ones deliberately
driving faster than legal, let's rake in the cash from those who
unknowingly have an inaccurate speedo. Can't wait for them to drop the
'tolerance' down to 0.25 km/h

Saw that.
Is there any point - point speed zones there or has this not been
implemented anywhere yet?
Also see someone shot these camera's with a gun a few weeks ago? With
drivers throwing fruit e.t.c at the installer's.
Bloody GovCo strikes again.

Don't bother. I've just read the testimonials and everyone says it's a
fantastic product that really works ;-)

Q. Can I test Stop Flash with my Digital camera?
A. Speed cameras operate with a flash power of 500 watts. Stop Flash is
formulated to react within this range. It will NOT react in following
car headlights or the 2-4 watt power of a digital camera.

That's quite funny. The "500 watt" flash on the side of the road would
generate how much intensity on the surface of the plate compared to a
digital camera flash close up?
So how effective is it for the IR flashes? :-)
