It doesn't have a clear title, as noted in the details section.
A word of warning to anyone considering a used car purchase when there is
finance owing on the vehicle: *Always* make it a condition of the sale that
the outstanding amount will be paid in full and the title cleared *before*
you take possession of the car.
Finance companies are legally within their rights to repossess vehicles even
if they've changed hands.

Have to agree with you there. The seller states at the bottom "Car under
Fianance, sale will clear debt".

I suggest, just to be certain, get a bill of sale from the seller and make
sure the finance providers details are included. Then YOU bank the
outstanding money into the account as per the finance providers
instructions. The balance goes to the seller when collecting the vehicle.
Apart from escrow I know of no other way (outside of trusting the seller)
that the money is used to clear the debt. If you can both attend the bank
at the same time then all three parts of the deal can be sealed on the spot
(1. paying the finance out, 2. paying the seller 3. taking possession).

I think you'll manage to suck in heaps of aus.cars posters with your thinly
disguised advertisment.

A 2001 magna is a better car.

Perhaps, but a 2001 CR-V has far higher resale than either, despite costing
roughly the same brand-new.
According to Redbook, a 2001 CR-V auto is still worth as much as $20,700!
Redbook says a 2001 Magna auto is worth $10,000 tops, while a 2001 Commodore
is about $12,000.
The CR-V is also better equipped than either. It came standard with dual
airbags and power windows, while both the Magna & Commodore only came with 1
airbag and no power windows.

Great thinking David. Pay twice as much for a 5 year old car just because
it has an extra airbag and power windows.

Take it easy on Dave.
At least he's right on one thing... all three have the same offroad
capability.

**As Noddy has suggested: Walk away, very quickly. I presume QLD has a REVS
equivalent? Do a REVS check. Just as you would with any automobile. This one
would fail such a search.

That's only because the target demographic (very old ladies and
eunochs) tend to have lots of disposable cash, and very little sense.

All the reason not to buy a CR-V. Especially when it's only a small 4
cylinder.

you ask a qauestion about a certain car and like 2%of people respond with
and other ramble on about some totally unrelaed subject .
IS this car as it sits on the site worth a look ?
