If you are wanting information about how to purchase and download video content the sites that you are buying from should have all the information you need, some are not Mac friendly though. If you are asking about how to download illegal files (ones that are covered by copyright and you aren't paying for) then your thread will get closed, please clarify what it is you need help with.

For goodness sake... I am not asking how to download illegal files - if I was a PC owner then I would get it free from the various pages on the net. All i am asking is... if there is a program out there for a Mac.

i thought I made myself quite clear - i want a program where i can download tv series' onto my Mac and watch it at my own leisure. One can do this on a PC no prob's - can one do this with the program Acquisition which I have already bought... if not then what sort of software do i need to get.

Jenny, yes you can use peer-to-peer file sharing software like Acquisition for the Mac, or Bit Torrent, to get movies and tv series. However, doing so without paying for the movies and tv series is a copyright violation, it's illegal, and shouldn't be discussed on this forum. I'm not being judgemental about this (I couldn't care less) but this particular forum has rules against discussions related to piracy.

It wasn't clear which is why I asked you to clarify, Acquisition seems to be focused on music downloads, depending on where you want to get the files from as to what solution is appropriate, you can use itunes if you are buying your TV shows there, if you are buying elswhere then they usually list appropriate programs for downloading, although these are often PC centric offerings. How about instead of everyone guessing you provide some links to where you want to download from, it will help to be able to offer you a solution.
