heya,,

my old onkyo TS-DX-696 blew up and i wasnt happy with it from the start
anyway,

so im looking at most likely a Denon AVR-2106.

i think rrp is $999 or so,

so, does anyone else have an other options,
i do need to have as many component inputs as i cant, the avr has 3 but
4 would be better.

also, anyone know of any deals or the best place to get one from?

im sydney based.

ta.

**Look for a superseded Denon. The price cuts can be substantial.

**Sure they do. What you may not get with an older model is HDMI support. I
installed a superseded model into a client's system two weeks ago. It had
multiple component inputs. No HDMI though. Almost a year to the day, I
installed another (Denon) into another system. It also has multiple
component inputs. He saved nearly a grand over RRP, by purchasing a recently
superseded model.

IIRC only one the higher end models..
which were $2500+ rrp, so saving $1000 off that might be a bargain, but
its still most likely $500 more than i wanted to spend.

but if you know of any specific deals/models im all ears.
