The thing runs nicely for 45-50 minutes..............then feels as though
it's flooding, car won't accelerate, pull to side of roard, wait 3 minutes,
off we go, then within a couple of minutes happens again. Humidity ? Heat ?
Temperature sensor that controls fuel feed ? The trip is 20km Sydney peak
hour stop/go with a couple of stops to drop kiddies off. My mechanic throws
his hands in the air and I don't know if it's a genuine 'I can't find a
problem' or whether its time and lack of interest.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Thats only a *minor* problem really [For a L/R], you should be much
much more concerned with the complete engine failure [head gasket &c]
awaiting you around the corner.
[Its common knowledge really]
Its such a common and bad problem that LR no longer sell the V6 petrol
engine they are/where not able to cure it.[Perhaps this is first sign
of TheEnd]
Do a google "freelander v6 failure" and have a read also the L/R
newsgroups
The Diesel powered by BMW is such a wonderful unit too, NOT,just ask
Scotty he bragged on and on about it and now he is hit with a $7000
bill LOL.....Justice!
To be honest i have no sympathy for LandRover buyers, they L/R have a
reputation deserved for making absolute SHIT!
Even a gay CRV is much better...
