Got a set of brand new FE2 springs from a ~2003 Storm ute which are surplus
to requirements and just taking up space in my closet. What's a fair
starting price for them on fleaBay?

I paid $50 for some a few years ago.

They weren't brand new, but that hardly makes a difference.

Last pair I bought cost roughly $30 each as a genuine GMH part
(including freight to a fairly remote area)... which probably has
little relevance to ebay prices.

Nor are the ones for a 2003 ute likely to be the same as any other
model (front or rear)... which probably also has little relevance to
an ebay sale.

Have you thought of starting them at a dollar each with $50 postage
(separate listings of course)? Seems to be a popular ploy on ebay
these days.

If I sound pissed off it's because I am.... Put in a starting bid
(which was obviously the asking price) for an item with a loaded
postage rate, where the combination added up to a fair price (for the
seller at least). The same Shanghai based seller had at least four
identical items on separate listings with mine the only bid. Some
newbie with zero feedback and shit for brains sniped me 2 minutes from
the close... Why couldn't the dickhead open the bid on the next one
down the line!

And it's not the first time.

Put it on Ebay and bullshit about how they are GENIWINE GMH springs as
used on their sports models

You'll have the Ipswich and Gold Coast bogans bidding hard and fast
only to be pipped by some Western Sydney Bogan

It's bent metal. Bent shorter than normal.

A fair bit of metal for $25 though, I'm surprised.
