Being Thursday and having the obligation to travel into the city proper
I thought might as well go further and collect a few auto bits a kind
soul had offered on the north side ( 20 k north ), a round trip of
almost exactly 100klm , now I do like to move along at a good clip but
travelling through Sunnybank and far to much of the freeway I got stuck
behind a BMW driven by an Asian woman who appeared to be following Merc
driver with similar characteristics , needless to say they travelled in
the right lane under the speed limit and appeared to have no idea they
were breaking the law considering the manner in which they flouted it .
I tried some gentle signalling , some heavy signalling and after some
time undertook much against my better judgement . Right around the off
ramp to the PA hospital I was over and undertaken by two utes . Mr FLV (
blue ford)you really are one dumb sob and are lucky to be alive , the
green SS ute was worse and damn near hit the car three in front of me in
the right lane travelling at 120klm didn't seems to be quick enough. I
guess its just lucky there were 3 lanes to swerve and cut across ,
happily I made destination dropping off the account safely and heading
north of the Main hospital encounted a moving road block , two land
cruisers of similar model and both stink pots , about now I suffered
conformation that the a/c wasn't worth squat in the car and the fan was
almost useless , needless to say the slothful manner in which these two
drivers drag raced in slow motion across 11 sets of lights was cooking
me alive , and damn they even made it to 55 klm a couple of times
between light sets . Now before you barge owners start let me remind you
I know these 4wd barges can travel much faster in single file but for
whatever reason these scum sucking arseholes sat exactly side by side ,
eventually I followed another equally exasperated driver in an
undertaking manovour which may not have been perfect ( north of
Chermside) but it made both of us very happy to be away and much safer
as we left the several dozen hot and pissed off fellow drivers to the
rear behind the road block .
Now I have to ask , does this sort of ignorant don't look steering
appear in all states ?
I think it might as several of the cars mentioned were interstate ,
should we be retesting drivers every few years and retraining where they
fail even a basic test , well its worth consideration , does the beatty
state govco spend enough on traffic police ?
That's a big not bloody likely considering all the way while
travelling north I didn't saw one patrol car, returning home I took the
gateway , at 1pm it was a safe and quick journey and most importantly a
shiite load safer as most of the traffic seemed to be travelling elsewhere.
End of rant .

Just think, I do this every day in these exact suburbs. Why do you think I
stereotype so well, and place all asian drivers in the "cant drive" basket,
and all the 4x4 owners in the "oblivious and arrogant prick" basket?
Its cause its all true. If the stereotype fits, wear it.

Just think - if it were Melbourne, you'd get all that then 3 weeks later
there would be a couple of sppeding tickets from hidden no-tolerence
revenue, whoops, SPEED cameras in the mail. Still, you'd sleep better
knowing that the roads were so much SAFER because of all that money you
just gave to the politicians.

Well, thats one great reason to ban all deisels then eh. I knwo that when I
drive my 4x4 its well and truely kept up with the traffic (more often than
not pacesetting) and all due to the fact that it CAN keep up with cars.
I agree though, Nth side of Bris is a shocker at the best of times, esp
through Kedron area for some reason. Thousands of drivers do that stretch
every day and they still cant friggen merge properly.

Correct.
There appears to be no mention of 1 to 1 merging in the lexicon in
Qld.
That's aside from the consideration of the 'natural order of things'
that's utterly ignored by fuckhead Qld drivers.
What really shits me though are the fuckheads that get their nose out
of joint when you refuse to let them merge ahead of you when one of
their fellow fuckheads has just been allowed to do so to get out of a
lane that has a well defined end which has ALWAYS been there and which
will most assuredly be there tomorrow.
Of course these are the fuckheads that mysteriously find themselves in
considerable difficulty fro the rest of the drive to 'wherever' as
long as I'm on the same stretch of road:-)
BTW, new Brisbane Fuckhead routine:
Changing lanes across an intersection to actually choke it up.
This is accomplished by 'taking advantage' of those who don't proceed
onto an intersection because there's simply no way to avoid choking
it.
Watched one fuckhead pull tis stunt about three times on Moggil road -
Coro drive yesterday morning - said fuckhead gained about 200 metres
in all that distance. (Didn't matter, because two of us managed to get
to the fuckhead near the city anyway, and send it away up the ICB:-)))
- sorry local knowledge required.)
Anyhow, this stunt has spread to fucken roundabouts in the past few
months!!
Champeen fuckheads involved in this variant are the prozac addled
fuckheads transporting kinder to and from skool to keep them out of
the hands of the kiddie-diddlers that appear to infest this state.
Well, that's the media spin, anyway. Keeps the listeners tiny minds
off the fact that this country is actually at war on at least two
fronts.
Favourite peak-hour choker fuckhead mount is BMW 318i - you know, the
one with the perceived 'Badge' and the lawnmower engine.
Bought by wankers, who evidently don't know their arse from their
elbow.
Close second is Mazda 6 - the one that looks the goods - but is
invariably driven extraordinarily badly. The fact that these drivers
somehow can muster the agro necessary to behave like fuckheads in
traffic, is itself an object of some amazement to me.
Natch, the problem could be cured by police on motorcycles sniffing
about the main roads for 1/2 an hour or so a day, since the fuckheads
are protected by traffic volumes only avoidable by velocipedes.
But police have more serious offences to look out for.
They sit in their air conditioned radar cars right through morning and
afternoon peaks and don't nail a single 'offender' against the stupid
arbitrary speed limits because even the fuckheads can't get moving
fast enough to offend.

Why?
Even Patrick knows that his Luxen really needs 234 forward speeds to
perform like a 5 speed petrol Luxen.

In the chity, yup, 256 even. On the open road 5th gets more than
a workout than it really should. 6th would be nice :-)

Lol :)
It spends 99% of it's time running on bareque fuel, so it's actually quite
economical. Still, for an antiquated 4 litre petrol 6 with an auto in a body
that's about as aerodynamically challenged as a block of flats, it's fuel
economy on petrol os very good indeed.

Sounds like a normal commute to me, except 9 outa 10 times it's dickheads in
cars travelling side by side under the limit or hogging the right lane.
Obviously speed limits are too low if other drivers are doing over your
sluggish road hogging 120kph, you reflexes are obviously shot and you need
to hand your licence in or report for more driver training to fix them.
