The other night was heading west from brisvegas. a slightly slower truck
was ahead of me and i noticed that as other cars passed it he shone a
light back toward them. as i passed he shone a blinding bright light
back at me. the light seemed to be coming from his mirror. after i went
passed I noticed that he did it to another car behind me that passed him
too. i figured this was a hazard so slowed down to get him in front of
me so i could get his rego # and the name of his trucking company, with
the intention of lodging a complaint with the trucking company. as he
overtook me he shone the light back at me again this time from above the
left hand mirror. the missus wrote down his trucking company from his
left door and then once he was passed we got his rego number. then he
started slowing right down to about 20 clicks. i pulled out to pass him
again and he hit me with the light again. once i overtook him he stayed
on high beam. as we went passed i got the missus to hold the mobile
phone up to her ear to make it look like we were reporting him. i
quickly accelerated to a whisker over 100 and got well ahead of him.
shortly afterward though i noticed him approaching me from behind still
with his highbeams on and going quite a bit faster than me. it became
clear he wasnt going to change lanes, so i planted the foot and just
managed to outaccelerate him. i reckon he got to within a couple of feet
of my back bumper. he was still in the left lane and still accelerating
behind me, so i touched the brakes to see if the brake lights would make
him back off and it didn't seem to have any effect at all. i changed
into the right lane cos i didnt want to have him right on my tail. he
followed me into the right lane so i went back to the left and he
followed me back to the left. then i came to a sideroad with a bit of a
sliplane so ducked up there and he took off up the highway. called the
toowoomba police and reported his antics to them and gave them the rego
and trucking company details. they said it was the 2nd report they had
received that night about this truck. they said they had a patrol car
out looking for him already. i caught up with him again in toowoomba but
my turnoff was before i could see if anything happened to him.
obviously no patrol car had caught up with him by then.
i dont mind shaming this idiot in public if anyone else here sees this
idiot beware. on the side of his truck he had "BTG trucking" and also
the word "Robinvale". The rego number was ST19BN.

oops that was a typo. should be "RTG trucking". a web search has since
revealed it to be robinvale trucking group with offices in adelaide,
brisbane and sydney. I wonder if i should contact them directly myself
or leave it up to the police.

B Double with 2 white trailers, enclosed sides. I'm curious to see what
the cops have done - they took all my details when i made the complaint,
and i haven't heard anything from them.

Actually that is a very good point. Still not a valid reason
for the behaviour that resulted from truck.

you mean the low beam headlamps? yes. do you mean highbeam? no. do you
mean the foglamps that people get around with? my car doesn't have them.
wasnt just me that he was flashing with the reverse facing spotlight but
he apparently got shitty when i made it clear i was doing something
about it by getting his details.

I read it as BIG, with someone making the top of the I bigger.

That's a weird rego for Aust, it would be most likely be a personal
plate (NSW).

thats what I thought too. it was black writing on a yellow background
like NSW plates. the number was written as "ST19 BN". couldnt see any
state identifier on the plate (i was able to get pretty close when he
got really slow), there was no other text on it not even unreadable
text. the plate was longer and thinner than most plates too.

Checking, that plate has never been issued in NSW, either content or
style.

If this is kosher, and not a Friday Night Funny, you might be onto
something.

Make sure you let them know that this tool was able to go faster than
100 too.
Disabling the speed limiter on top of his other offences might be
enough to get his ass chucked in jail.

It is but the brainless cunt who suggested it did not have the
brain power to figure out whay this truck driver was doing it to
others as well... Let me guess, they ALL had their driving lights
on, plus hi beam, also blowing their horns and index finger in the
air to boot!! ??

That is why Doherty calls himself a knob, it's very true :-)

Hi my name is Ron, affectionately called fuckwit, gay, moronic
and
other kind words.
Thanks for paying so much attention to me considering my wife and
children don't want to listen to my constant whinging and
whining.
I know at times I post idiotic things but please folks don't let
that
get in the way.
I'm a really nice bloke, honestly I am and would like to show it
by
buying one of you a date with me.
Yep that's correct.
Any poofs out there who would want to date a 50+ loner then here
i am
I will read your replies and will pick the nicest sweetest poster
and
take them out for a night of dancing, romancing and generally a
gay old
fashioned time.
Be aware though I only go to first base on first dates.

Not very clever, I already have the Police on one of these, I
