View Full Version : Daewoo Leganza = Holden Commodore?

I was passing a small car yard today and I noticed they had a Daewoo Leganza
advertised for $5900. A few cars down was an old mid-1980s Commodore wagon
advertised for the exact same price!! Now I know Daewoos are hardly
reliable cars, but neither would be a Holden wagon more than twice its age!
Am I missing something here?

A mid 80's commodore wagon would want to be pretty unusual or special to be worth that much.

I said it was a mid-80s, I don't know the exact model. Perhaps a VL or
something. In any case, realiable or not it would be approaching the end of
its life, whereas the Daewoo being 8 years old or less, would have plenty of
life left.

Got another look today. Still not sold - surprise surprise. Didn't see the
Leganza there.
But it was clearly a VK wagon, tan/brown color, with silver bumpers so maybe
an upscale model? license plate starting with C... so I'm guessing maybe
from around 85-86?

You've never owned a Daewoo, have you? :-)
Buy one, and you'll soon see how long it's life actually is!
