Several things were announced by Nintendo at the GDC today, so here they are:

1) Nintendo has announced that the Rev's Virtual Console will include the best of 1000 titles from the Sega Mega Drive and the NEC TurboGrafx.

2) Nintendo announced a Zelda game for the Nintendo DS to be released at the end of 2006, the game is titled Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, with touch-screen abilities and awesome WW style graphics this is set to be huge. 3) Despite common belief, no new name was announced for the Nintendo Revolution.

4) Not directly related to the GDC, but IGN says that Activision will be developing an exclusive version of Spiderman 3 for the Revolution that takes advantage of the consoles special abilities.

5) It has been confirmed that the title 'Spore' will be coming to the DS, most likely in 2007.

Sounds good eh.

1. Just from that i have now 3 people who have no hesitation to buy one lol...
2. It looks like it will use the touch screen really well... cannot wait for this one.
3. I think they should have if they are actually still going to change it... from all reports though, it seems as though the name will still change...
4. Sounded cool, would be awesome to use two controllers to immitate two hands webslinging.
5. Spore should be amazing on the DS... some awesome games coming to the little beast, especially the DS Lite which i am looking forward to.

On a side note, this GDC was an obvious lack of Revolution news... and an abundance of DS news (including the Zelda) my belief is that because they launched a huge secret (Zelda) that the majority of E3 will be geared towards the Revolution.

Agreed I think the Zelda game looks awesome.

I'm really pumped for a revolution.
