ASIC says Qld Beautiful one day, Scammier the next....

Since I've been living here (especially on the Gold Coast)
I have seen things getting worse,
with the scammers, charlatans & bullsh*tters.

Now even ASIC is showing concerns about the 'state' of the Scamshine
State!

Let's hope Qld doesn't become the Florida of Aust with large amounts of
people moving here with big superannuation payouts, cashed up from
selling their homes down south or cashed up from grandma's estate at
Toorak. And then blowing the ill advised dodgey schemes & inflated
property investments.....

They seem to be attracted to the Gold Coast in drives, so much so that I
hear "Gold Coast" and I am instantly suspicious.

Whether thats warranted or not is another matter :)

My late father used to tell the story of a "promoter" during the depression
years, when business regulation was very lax indeed.

This man used to advertise a sure way to cut your electricity bills in half,
send money, etc. etc.

By return mail would come a pair of cheap scissors.
