Cheaper land line rental?

I have optus vision and optus cable and they are stinging me 28$ per month
for land line rental. I get '100 free local calls' woopdie dooo. Most of the
calls I have to make on the phone are STD or to mobiles, infact local calls
last month was 8. 28 per month is getting to the point of not even werth it
to have a phone, I could just make 28$ more on a mobile or move to a cap
plan.

Any give free line rental or any other good deals?

I have optus Broadband and Optus home line similar package to you ... No
longer on contract so when they were offering the 8 months free broadband I
rang and threatened to cancel all my Optus services and re join the next day
to get the special ...

They put me through to some manager and a compromise of 6 months free
broadband over 2 years ... no contracts was agreed to .. As I pay about $70
for broadband that is a huge saving ...........

Do as I did , and you should get yourself a good deal ...
