It's not all that often that I agree with Larry, but as soon as Sheedy was
named as coach I knew that the standard of the contest would be lowered.
In the 25 years he has been coaching, he has forced the 15-metre penalty
with 'professional free kicks', then caused it to be extended to 50 metres.
He stacked his side with thugs and snipers, constantly undermined the
umpires and tried to pressure the AFL.
He has bent and broken every rule in the book, and the game is vastly
worse-off for his efforts.

The biggest shame is that the thuggery in the international match has
shifted attention away from the brilliant play of Lovett and the other
speedsters.
