I recorded this last time it was on. I thought it was a really well shot
DVD. Sounded good too.

Thanks for the heads up, I would have missed it otherwise. I couldn't
have asked for better programming on the the day I have foxtel installed.

Ta for this, I might cap it.
I'm not sure how they will manage to cram three full albums into an
hour though :)

They won't; like almost all ABC2 concert specials, this one's been heavily
edited. The full show runs around THREE hours without a break.

No point in capping it; you can have ABC2's 4.5Mbps bitrate, stereo sound,
watermark and editing butchery, or you can get the DVD set and get the full
show in 5.1 surround with flawless image quality...

They don't, there are only a few songs from each record on this version of
it. It was on last year and i recorded it then and watched it a few times
before deleting it from the iQ.

C'mon Tone, (I can call you Tone, can't I? ) don't dis ABC2, they've
got some new stuff coming... shot the first two eps of digtv on Monday
for them, Ian Ball, Gareth Liddiard and The Audreys perform, an ex RRR
manager and someone who was in a miniseries about a crocodile host.

That's excellent news, I'll look forward to that.

The point I was making was more that it seems a bit pointless to promote
The Cure's "Trilogy" and only show a third of it...

Ah well, I watched it this evening and it was somewhat better than I
anticipated actually, despite the savage time imposed editing. Now that
I'm aware its out on DVD I might just have to hunt down a copy... cheers.

I watched my cap this evening, and at least its now given me enough of a
taste to want to see it on DVD (now that I'm aware of the DVD).
