Hi every one
Does anybody know, if I take a Pioneer plasma ( model: PDP-436XD) from
Denmark to Australia, will the this tv's technique be compatible with
the signlas broadcasted in Australia?
Hope somebody can answer this, as I wish to move to Australia and I do
not know if it is good idea to bring this tv to Australia?
Thanks in advance.

The tuner, if it has one, probably won't work. However if your video
source is a DVD/VCR or set top box, that won't matter.

Your analogue tuner (if it has one) will probably work as Australia and
Denmark have essentially the same standards (B/G). The only issue that may
come about is the separation between the video carrier and sound carrier. In
Australia it's 5.5 MHz, in some PAL countries it's 6 MHz. If Denmark's
standard is 6MHz then you won't receive sound.
Check with your nearest service man, he/she should know what Denmark's
video/sound carrier separation is. If it's 5.5 MHz then go for it.
