Not surprising that a car like that is a huge seller over there - they have expensive fuel and don't drive long distances like we do.

Hahahhaaaaaahahahahaaa!
You guys kill me!
You're bagging a car that hasn't been released her built by a manufacturer which has had major restructuring over the years since Fiat was last sold in numbers here, and yet are quite prepared to totally overlook the fact that the Commodore is the most fault ridden car of the last decade in OZ.

Except I'm on an English news group that still says they are a pile of shit.
And I certainly aren't saying the Commodore is a well built car.

I guess that's possible seenig as the Commodore is Oz best selling car.
Still, it'd be nice to actually see the evidence if the Grande Punto being a POS especially when compared to the other crap that's sold in Eu.

Nither is Ford but I have had less drama's with my Calais that the jap built
SP23 that the mrs had or any other car I have owned.
I dunno what the latest Fiats are like now so I am going to give them the
benefit of the doubt.

Be that as it may, the increase in sales for PuntoGrande in UK and
Europe [as per the article] have been mind blowing.Just does not make
sense
And I certainly aren't saying the Commodore is a well built car.

Ford's are not good quality, infact they are bordering on rubbish, my
biggest beef with them is they do just do not last.I would expect it to
last [like the old days at least 500,000km]
Rust, oil leaks, slop, things falling off and braking worn out and
general pox product.
Holdens are much much better quality and longer lasting and worth more
2nd hand too.I blame Lion King brand for this, if they would have just
had factory gas ute in 98' i would have never purchased a Falcon
Anyway i have enough of FART brand, i will try Holden or my next
vehicle will be Japanese [unless i find a RTV @ the right price :-)]
The main saving grace for Ford is parts are @ a silly low low price,
could be about the cheapest car to own
The main thing is i am a brand slut, and loyal to none
