No, the whole Prius thing is NOT to use DIEsel, its the largest/richest
car company going in another unique direction......because it can.

In any case Citroen have what you mentioned in theC3/4?,its a
DIEsel/Hybrid in the works and out some time in the future

How is that possible, Toyota don't sell any gas cars in Australia.
Cars running on gas (LPG) are usually a lot more enviromentally friendly
than those running on petrol.

If the car has the power and the endurance of a 100kw petrol powered
mid-sized sedan, and say half the boot capacity, it should sell well.
Anything less will leave it in niche markets.

Yeah,..we need the practical fuel economy. A steady 40 km/h without stops is
hardly a noteworthy figure except in a aparticular traffic-jam...

AFAIK the Fiat motor was their main problem, suspension is quite good, comfy
and works well offroad.
Main problem I suppose is lack of spares/aftermarket support, but they may
still make them in USSR somewhere, might be a parts importer around.
Rust was also a problem too.
