On a plasma or LCD? Ouch! They're reasonable, but not that good.

And if you have a wireless network, such as our Netgear setup, then
you'll hear continuous clicks as if it's interference from an electric
fence or something.

We picked up an AV sender from Safeway recently. Yeah, cheap crap, I
know, but 2.4ghz is 2.4ghz, I would've thought. Our wireless router
fucks up the signal, unfortunately. Otherwise the picture quality is
perfect.

Yeah, you can sometimes get the 2 to work together with a bit of manual
channel setting (the Jaycar 1 has 3 & you can configure 802.11b/g to
operate on a single channel), but DECT & WDECT phones aren't as
flexible. WDECT completely kills the whole 2.4GHz range.

Of course, the other issue is what to do if your neighbours decide that
wireless or DECT are for them?

The Netgear, running at 108 mbps is fixed on channel 6, from memory. I
can change it if we drop back to 54 mbps. Meanwhile, the video sender
thingy has 3 or 4 channels, alterable by dipswitch settings. I tried
them all. Made no difference.

We considered this when we purchased a Panasonic cordless phone system.
We opted for the more expensive 5.8ghz "Gigarange" model. It causes no
problems at all.

Well, someone nearby is on an unsecured 54 mhz network. It doesn't
appear to have affected any of our services. The only PC in the place to
detect it is one with a Zyair antenna extender.
