I was at Domayne in O'Riordan St Sydney last week. They had a pretty
impressive demo of an HD Plasma on the wall being run by a Mac Mini Core
Duo with an Elgato Systems Eye TV HD tuner in the USB. The Mac is then
your DVD player, PVR and STB in a pretty small package. It was
connected to the internet by WiFi, and the whole thing, email, web
browsing, DVD, PVR and TV run by a small remote. A bluetooth keyboard
can be employed when required.

Could be a very good option if Mac is your thing. You can do the same
with Windows, but the Mac has it all over a Windows PC looks wise. Could
you tell how quiet it was? I'll have to go & check it out.
