Not sure if these are on Foxtel's site yet. A few things of interest.

As of today:

Fox Sports news becomes a real channel

A sports launch page.

The Media Q & A is of most interest.

The media q and a won't open for me. Does it work for others?

It's great to see them finally reduce prices.

Well except when you compare them with the old packages, which were
actually cheaper.

Good news if you don't like sport, for everyone else enjoy the increase.

MY PACKAGES Frequently Asked Questions What is the name of FOXTEL's new
package structure? FOXTEL's new set of packages is called "My Packages".
The new entry level package is called "Get Started". How long will this
offer run for? My Packages isn't a temporary offer. FOXTEL has changed
its packaging permanently to offer customers a new low entry level price
and a range of new subscription package choices. Why has FOXTEL changed
its packages? FOXTEL has experienced strong growth since the launch of
FOXTEL Digital and now we want to accelerate that growth by making
FOXTEL even more accessible to more consumers with a lower entry level
price. We want to introduce more subscribers to FOXTEL with additional
pricing options and affordable package choices that offer consumers
increased flexibility to match the programming they purchase to their
individual tastes. FOXTEL has substantially reduced the entry level
price of FOXTEL Digital and is offering consumers a range of new
subscription package choices that have been organised into clear content
divisions * Movies, Sport, Documentary, Lifestyle and Youth * five of
which have a price of $14.95 per month. Customers who subscribe to Get
Started plus one entertainment tier (at $14.95 per month) pay just $5
extra per month for a second entertainment tier (e.g. My World) and just
$22.95 per month for all three entertainment tiers - My Playtime, My
World and My Escape. FOXTEL's repackaging is the result of extensive
consumer research over a long period. We trialled the packaging last
year in the Hunter Valley with highly encouraging results. Why is FOXTEL
reducing the price of the Basic package? FOXTEL has experienced strong
growth since the launch of FOXTEL Digital and now we want to accelerate
that growth by making FOXTEL even more accessible to more consumers by
giving them additional purchasing options. As part of the new packaging
structure, FOXTEL is offering a new lower entry point to the FOXTEL
service at just $36.95 per month, or just over a dollar a day, plus a
one off installation cost. Is FOXTEL adding any new channels to its line
up as part of repackaging? Yes. FOXTEL is launching two new channels:
FOX Sports News, which was previously an interactive channel that sat
behind FOX Sports 1 and 2, becomes a stand alone linear channel
available in Get Started from 5 May. FOXTEL is also launching Sport
Selector * an interactive channel showcasing 9 of FOXTEL's existing
sports channels in one split screen. The channel can be watched in its
split screen format or be used as a navigation tool allowing subscribers
to select and move between the sports channels in the My Sport tier. The
channel will launch on May 5 on channel 500 and is available to existing
FOXTEL Digital subscribers and all new subscribers to My Packages who
take the My Sport tier.

Will all existing Analogue subscribers be required to take "My
Packages" by a certain date? FOXTEL is now only selling My Packages
which are the packages for FOXTEL Digital. FOXTEL has announced it is
switching off the Analogue service by March 2007 and all Analogue
subscribers migrating to Digital will be able to choose a package from
My Packages to suit their tastes. Analogue television is being phased
out globally and is no longer a viable broadcasting medium for
subscription services. The future is in digital television and FOXTEL is
providing world-class digital television that leads Australia in
innovation and choice. Will all existing Digital subscribers be required
to take "My Packages" by a certain date? No, existing Digital
subscribers can stay on their current package. If they choose to change
their package, then they can only move within the new My Packages
structure. Will these new packages apply to Telstra and Optus customers?
Telstra has chosen to offer their customers My Packages. OPTUS is also
launching a new package structure.

Really? Which one? They all seemed like marketing rubbish to me. I mean
calling the fox sports add channel and the sports selectors new channels is
a bit over the top. How about adding real channels like NBA TV or Fox
Sports US.

Are they? When you go through and take them all it still costs $99.95 on
platinum which is what it cost before.

Fair enough.
