So I'm trying to watch Swordfish ..... I actually haven't bothered to
watch it before and figure its a good way to kill Saturday night

Ch 9 have succesfully ruined it - these bloody live mine rescue update
banners...... TAKING UP APPROXIMATELY HALF OF THE SCREEN. 8 MINUTES TIL
AN UPDATE. Great guys, I couldn't get up to the second updates from the
web anyway.

Thank you channel 9 ...... I was kind of enjoying the movie, but they
have completely screwed it up. I've turned it off.

This has really pissed me off. Serves me right for watching commercial
TV I suppose.

Why don't you go around to Anthony Horan's house (assuming you ain't
him) and have a party?

i am certainly not he.

regardless, these banners shit me. its bad enough when they're
"unobtrusive" ones, ala the network banner, or for another show, but
these half screen mine update ones are ridiculous. makes it completely
unwatchable.

and whats with the interviewing of the crowd at the mine site ? pack of
idiots. sensationalism at it's best.

So was the movie any good, I don't think I've ever seen it?

****en huge it was......I kept thinking that it might be up on the screen
when they show the scene with Halle Berry topless......

Don't know if it did, I was mostly watching Essendon lose by 2 points to
Richmond.

Lost by 1 point to Hawthorn last week.

I saw it quite some time back at the local cinema.
AFAICR it was an OK movie, with the added attraction for some people a view
of Halle Berry's breasts.
Leonard Maltin's book gives it only 2.5 stars and I quote "...it becomes
silly and unreasonably farfetched"; the book does praise other aspects of
it.

Couldn't have been as bad as on 7 last week during the post-climactic scene
in Whale Rider when the girl wakes up in hospital and speaks Maori to her
father and they ran some crawl spruiking Sunrise over the subtitles! 30secs
either side it wouldn't have happened. It had obviously affected John Deekes
(Melbourne announcer) who IIRC later said to "stay tuned for Impossible
Mission 2" instead of MI2.
Gottaloveit.

Absolutely shit movie. Even Halle Berry's tits were a disappointment.

Will certainly go down as having the most ridiculously stupid "computer
hacking" scene in history.

are you sure ?

case in point : hackers. hackers 2. i haven't actually seen it, but i
hear firewall is pretty bad too

glamourizing bits and bytes aint easy.

and im sure RC carking it is karma for that horrible banner ad last
night. if only a "personality" kicked it every time the networks did
something stupid.

then there'd be none of them left, and the programming content might be
better. it's a win win situation. you know it makes sense.
