Hi,
EYO is selling a cheap dual tuner digital PVR with 120Gb HDD for $423 (http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_DM-T2800-120_proddesc_UltraView_Digital_TV_Receiver_Recorde r_Box_2-Tuner_120G.html)
The price is attractive but I cannot find any reviews or articles about it on Google. There is some general information on the Ultraview website but I would like to know:
1. Is it reliable?
2. Can programs recorded on it be copied to a computer like with the Topfield PVRs?
Thank you,

Unknown, un'named, chinese clone crap,, But pay your 400 odd dollars, and
then try and convice yourself, it's as good a quality as a Topfield. . you
never know it might even last a couple of months .
But if Topfield introduce some updated software, don't try loading it into
your clone crap.. you might get a shock.

Well, umm, that was said in no uncertain terms.
I did more research on the Ultraview and it appears to be exactly the same unit as several other brands, like "YESS". They are also even cheaper (some down to $300).
So, it's a cheap rebadged Chinese model (not that there's anything wrong with quality Chinese products), but being very cheap means it's probably poor quality.
I ended up purchasing a Topfield TF5000PVRt BP and am very happy with the unit. No hassles apart from the EPG sometimes forgetting to compensate for the +9:30 GMT offset. The bonus 5 year warranty was nice too (although it means I won't be tinkering with the box to insert a larger HDD).
