At least they are using a real Detroit diesel engine.
:-)

God wish the truck I drive had a 2 cycle diesel engine to hear it scream
instead of the boring 4 stroke sound! :-(

And screan they do. I sat on a supercharged GM detroit diesel chamberlin
super 90 tractor from 10 years old to 17 with no hearing protection
what-so-ever or cabin...sometimes 12 hour shifts as the family farm took its
dying breaths. I can still hear a gunshot within 8 feet if its on my right
side & do notice 747's lower than 1000 feet.

lol ! couldnt hear them above the donk. Seriously it was a 3 cyl & it
literally screamed its lungs out. I doubt a louder engine was ever used in a
tractor.

Music to my ears like a Chev V8 at 10,000 rpm.

Sure it was supercharged?
AFAIK all the detroits used the roots blower for exhaust scavenging.

bloody oath it was...371 sitting on it. Look at the shot on this site where
the donk is painted grey.

Maybe that is a roots blower ??? I assumed a 371 was a 'normal' blower.
