Gday all.

Picked up a new car yesterday, with an after market alarm (that the dealer
fitted for me).

When I either flash the high beam, or put high beam headlights on, the alarm
siren sounds! This is the same regardless of whether engine is on or off,
headlights on or off etc. Basically any time high beam lights are on, the
alarm sounds (but I can still drive!)

Obviously its gotta go back to dealer, but out of curiosity, what have they
fucked up to cause this?

Thanks

Im no auto elect but i would assume that the lights & alarm are using the
same relay or the relays are powering each other somehow. Maybe trace the
alarm wire back to the relay & see if there is something common.

Id bet that the the lazy bastard who fit it used a wireing earth instead of
a chassis earth. Either that or hes fu*ked up an input/output connection
into the harness and selected the highbeam wireing.
