The auto-trans is stuffed as well...
The body and fittings on those early Magnas were very good. The doors shut
right, the interiors were durable and the suspension was comfortable. If it
wasn't for the high maintenance motor, lousey mileage and suss autos, they
would have been a different story. They also went thru CVs every 100,000ks

My mum had one of those god forsaken cars, she ended up losing it over a
highway brige over the guard rails down an embankment. Insurance money
was enough for her to get an 87 apollo (camry) fark me, this car is much
better even tho it is older and has way more K's on it.

Glad someone though so before I said something horrible like, why would
anyone bother. You'd still have an old Magna worth $5. It would be a
Simms collectors item.

You could end up with quite a collection on the front lawn if you went down
that road.

Probably peer group pressure, after being stuck behind the jaguar club
run.
