Put aside the capabilities of the ps3 and xbox 360 for a second.
With RPGs being very popular, will the blu ray discs allow rpgs to be more indepth and larger than rpgs on dvds?
Anyone know the answer?

Thread moved to the gaming section.
As for the question, it's already been said that the games will not be pushing the media format size to the limits (they might make games bigger than DL-DVD 8.4Gb, but nowhere near the 35Gb? the next format allows).
They are talking of having multiple versions of the game on the disc however (ntsc and pal, english and japanese languages) to allow for worldwide releases, rather than region by region. RPG's would be the biggest genre to benifit from this if publishers decide to take this option up.
The 360 uses DVD, with HD-DVD option later on (for more expense).
The PS3 will be using the blu-ray, and most likely be using this straight away rather than DVD, with blu-ray being relatively unused by consumers and less of a piracy risk (for now :p)
