Do DL disks play in a standard DVD player ? The Pioneer DV109 can burn
them - or says it can. And CloneDVD2 can handle them.
My ( 1yo) Pioneer DVD says it does not read +R and zip about DL so just
wondering. (It does read +R as I saw that after I bought a spindle )

In theory they do, since the manufactured DVDs are DL.

Yes it can.

Yeah, most of the decent mainstream burning
software can, like Nero and Roxio EMC etc.

Got me so pissed off I gave it a way for a week or so. I've imaged the
laptop so I can seriously molest it when I re-start.
Ta for the DVD info. Figured it would be an 'in theory' thing. Might but
one disk give it a go.
On the mice, I hate those back-forward buttons - never persisted long enough
to get used to them so I used to switch them off on the MS mice. The Series
2 basic is only two button with a tilt and click to auto-scroll wheel which
is handy.

Be careful. "Pi" might arc up to tell you that there is no such thing as
a Pioneer "DV109"...

Not me. Call it the "D109" or the "109" or the "109D" or whatever. It's
pretty obvious as to which model burner it is. Unfortunately, there are
some who seem to think that unless you get it right, right down to the
model's serial number, date of manufacture, firmware revision number (in
its anatomically correct format), then you're simply describing
something that doesn't exist...
I notice that the troll hasn't posted here for a while - never told me
what he reckons what a "real" DVD burner is, etc.

First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
