The Federal Government body ACMA promises to shut down all sites
anywhere in the world which are "offensive" to anybody, after only 1
complaint. It's in the legislation.

Simply call them on

1800-226-667

and press Option 2.

Give them the Internet address and tell them you find it offensive.

They must, by law, investigate, then ban it and shut it down, anywhere
in the world! All for free!

Or so they reckon.

Call them now.

Noodle.

So which Australian law covers 'the world'? That would be a neat trick to
pull off, eh... I'll ring em and tell em to shut off that damn google... I
find all sorts of offensive stuff when I search there...

Seriously, yes, these guys will investigate complaints and liaise with
overseas bodies, but there are obvious limits and they can't just 'shut
down' any site on a whim (they will with child porn, etc)...

The sort of content they are talking about is:

* material containing detailed instruction in crime, violence or drug
use;
* child pornography;
* bestiality;
* excessively violent or sexually violent material.

(also unrestricted access to (X) or (R) rated material, etc...

Things you can't complain about:

* racist content;
* defamatory content;
* privacy violations;
* intellectual property infringements;
* 'scams' (fair trading);
* business practices of companies.
