SD Card and DVD Recorder

My Panasonic DMR-EH60 DVD Recorder does not recognise SanDisk (SD) Memory
Stick Pro Duo when inserted into the SD slot. Have downloaded from Panasonic
website SD Formatter V1.1 which formatted the card but the unit still
displays "No Card" message. Have followed the manual instructions to the
letter. The SD card works fine in my digital camera.

Isn't the Sony Memory stick DIFFERENT to SD

SD card = "Secure Digital" card not San Disk. San Disk is the name of
a manufactorer.
You own a Memory Stick Pro Duo card a completely different type of
memory card to the Secure Digital (SD) card.
